Originally from Brazil, Marcio Melo studied architecture at the Federal University of Pernambuco in Recife. He has lived in Canada since 1987, where he made painting his profession. Marcio Melo works with watercolour, conté pencil, oil paints, and acrylic, on both paper and canvas. He exhibits in his studio in Bristol, as well as in galleries in Gatineau, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Oregon, Brazil, and Germany. Marcio Melo seeks balance, order, and harmony in his compositions. His work is inspired by Brazilian and Canadian scenes, resulting in vivid and colorful pieces.
