Originally from the Mauricie (Quebec), Linda Bergeron-Baril has lived in the Pontiac region since 2002 where she devotes herself full-time to her passion for painting. She works in color either with oil, acrylic, or pastel. She uses various techniques and tools: alla prima, impasto, scraping, spatulas, brushes, or her fingers. Textures are creamy and expressive, allowing her to assert her personal signature. Her style is recognizable for its spontaneous strokes, which give grace and strength to her still life, landscapes and characters. Linda Bergeron-Baril exposed at Rothwell Gallery, Perth Gallery, Gordon Harrison Gallery in Ottawa (2012), in Old Montreal (2003-04) and many works are now found in the United States, Europe and Asia. The artist has also won the 2003 “Jury’s choice” in Gatineau, 2009 “Public Choice” in Gatineau, and has been featured in newspapers (Le Droit, The Citizen, The Equity and Pontiac Journal).
