Pontiac Regional County Municipality (RCM) is launching a call for applications in order to fill the position for resident of the Pontiac on the Agricultural Advisory Committee (AAC). This mandate is a 2-year time period (2026 and 2027) with possibility of renewal. The AAC generally meets up to four times a year. It can hold its meetings in English, in French, or in both languages, depending on its members. Its minutes are written in both languages.

The function of the AAC is to examine, at the request of the RCM Council or on its own initiative, any matter relating to agricultural land planning, the practice of agricultural activities and the environmental aspects pertaining to such planning and practice. This includes, among other things, the analysis of the planning and urbanism by-laws, as well as the review of applications for authorization, exclusion, and inclusion in the agricultural zone. A further function is to make the recommendations it considers appropriate regarding the matters it has examined to the RCM Council.

If you have an interest in land planning, urbanism, agricultural land, and agricultural activities, we invite you to submit your application to the attention of Alan Dabrowski, Land Use Planner, by submitting a letter of interest. The position will remain open until it is filled. If you would like more information, please contact us.
