The MRC Pontiac is proud to announce that its project “Route 148: Your Best Vanlife in the Outaouais” has won the 2025 Silver Azimut Award, a prestigious distinction presented by the Government of Québec to highlight innovative initiatives in tourism reception.
This project, which showcases Route 148 as an ideal itinerary for vanlife enthusiasts, aligns with a vision of sustainable, accessible, and inspiring tourism, in harmony with the landscapes, communities, and natural assets of the Outaouais region.
Beyond the travel experience itself, the Route 148 project generates meaningful benefits for the MRC Pontiac. Each stop becomes an anchor point for the local economy: travelers pause to eat, shop, or take part in activities, directly supporting our businesses, producers, and local attractions. This project positions the territory as a welcoming adventure destination while strengthening collaboration between municipalities, businesses, and organizations.
The MRC wishes to thank Tourisme Québec, the Azimut Award jury, as well as everyone who believed in the initiative. A special thank-you goes to Visages Régionaux, whose strategic support was essential to the project’s success.
